Twin Beds (Original)

Twin Beds was created out of Tracey's head. Her sister gifted her 4 new Sennelier pastels and she wanted to use them. The image of the Twin Beds with their brightly coloured crocheted bedspreads and the rag rug in a drab room just came to her. Later, the family photos on the walls appeared as so many elderly have their children and grandchildren's pictures adorning their homes. The large window looking out on the garden is probably a little out of character for the room but it was part of the original vision Tracey had. An indication of the gardening that is also part of the lives of the 'retired'. This work was reminiscent of a couple that were part of Tracey's family a long time ago.
