Out of My Heart a Bird Rose and Flew Skyward is the third painting in my Pollinator series. It was painted during workshops with the Widows Art Community (a group run by me). I love these little birds that seasonally visit and feed on trees outside my studio window. They feed on two trees, a red bottlebrush and the yellow grevillea. I chose the yellow grevillea for my painting so there was contrast between the bird and the flower. They are almost invisible on the red flowers!
The painting was done in acrylics using pointillism - all painted in dots. Very time consuming but thoroughly enjoyable and is one of Tracey’s favourite styles.
