Lion is one of Tracey's paintings that had a mind of it's own. She started with something specific in mind. He was going to be colourful all over. However, once that Olive Green face peered out at her she was smitten. She had painted the background first and it spoke to Tracey of Africa which is how the Lion idea came about initially.
